The Everly Family of Monongalia County West Virginia and Western Kentucky, by Sondra Everly Collins. pdf, 113 pages. Presents geneaological information about the descendants of Simeon Everly Sr, who came to Kentucky from West Virginia about 1825. (He was the son of Casper Everly, b.1740, who had immigrated to the U.S. from either Germany or England in the mid-18th century, served in the Revolutionary War, and settled in Virginia/West Virginia.) To see Arthur's listing, go to p.77 in the document (or p.78 in the pdf). Also note an interesting newspaper article about the number of medical doctors in the Everley family.
Note:
- EVERLEY VS EVERLY. One branch of the family (the "Ohio County" branch) changed the spelling of the surname from Everly to Everley, apparently for purely practical reasons -- to help differentiate Everlys who had the same first name. This began with Arthur's grandfather, Dr. Jesse Everley, b. 1838.
- THE EVERLY BROTHERS. Was Bettye Jean Everley related to the famous "Everly Brothers" (Phil and Don)? Yes. Near as we can tell, Phil and Don and Bettye had the same Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather (Caspar, 1740-1800). That would make Bettye and The Everly Brothers 5th cousins. Bettye's children (the 5 Ks) would be their 5th cousins once removed, according to the Cousin Calculator. To see the Everly Brothers' listing, go to pages 42-43 in the document (or pages 43-44 in the pdf).

CASE

Mother of Gilbert Schroerlucke, wife of John Schroerlucke
Mother of Gilbert Schroerlucke, wife of John Schroerlucke
We have been able to identify parts of Etta Mae's lineage. Her father was Eli Case, b.1847 in southern Indiana, and a Civil War veteran. Her mother was Ella Duggins (or Duggan), b.1855, also from southern Indiana. Eli and Ella moved to central Kentucky sometime after their marriage in Harrison, Indiana, in 1874. At least some of Ella Duggins' ancestors immigrated from Germany in the mid-18th century. And, at least some of Eli Case's ancestors were immigrants from England in the mid-17th century.
